Rome City is a town in Orange Township, Noble County, Indiana, United States. The population was 1,615 at the 2000 census. Rome City is located at 41°29′27″N 85°21′51″W / 41.49083°N 85.36417°W / 41.49083; -85.36417 (41.490945, -85.364294). You can get also get city co-ordinates if you open mapregions.tga in your image editor, but note that RTW takes the bottom left corner of map as 0,0 so in image editor you need to subtract the y value (height) from overall height of map to get the co-ordinate game will use.

What is a C map? Is it different from an A or B map? There is already a full map out there you can few if you google.
In game, I want a way to just view commanderies so I can play my conquest.

Thats a pretty good one that i already spended hours watching on, planning options for the early campaing and conquests with all the starting Warlords starting Locations. Through there is a small part missing in the East.

They forgot Dong Zhuo and the yellow turbans.

Those are the commanderies. You can kinda see the little lines that seperate each one into its individual cities.

Looking at that map compared to the other one, all of the Yellow Turbans start very close to one or more of the regular factions. So I wonder if any of them will make it past the early stages of most campaigns.

  • here's one more map. Collect them all in one place!

Is this map from turn 1? if yu look closely you notice that the westernmost of the playable yellow turban lords starts more northwest here, and seemingly does not have any territory compared to on the other map. They also have different icons on this one.

This one is an early map, its more for the territory placement which hasnt changed. This map doesnt have the Yellow turbans marked with the DLC characters properly, but it dose have many of the minor lords that are unplayable. Shi Xie or whatever his name is in the bottom left.
I agree. A full map, offically from CA would be nice, since we have seen much of the land mass in all the given videos. Its not like there are any real suprises left, and many people would love to have a full map of Turn one.
Someone ask them for one in the stream tomarrow. I would but ill be at work.
  • Would be nice with a proper map. Faction start positions and some nice info here and there

Don't know about CA's script, but judging from this map alone, it would be really hard for Liubei to relive history and solidify his Kingdom of Shu in the actual Shu territory.

Well historicly it´s where he was around the time shortly after the Dong-Zhuo-Alliance collapsed, it would make no sense to put him so far into the west around 190. His first base was in Xu province, far east at the coast until it fell to Cao Cao. Later he became protector of Jing province for a while, around where Liu Biao and his Vassals are located on the Map until Wu claimed it through force. Yi Province where the Kingdom of Shu formed was actually just the only Territory he didn´t lost in his lifetime. And as this is a Sandbox game you can him see succed to secure a base in either place.
And it´s not like migrating a faction to another location in a Total War Game was never a thing.

Total War: Rome 2 is out now; here’s our Total War: Rome 2 review.

There’s a point about 5 hours, 28 minutes and 40 seconds into Gamespot’s Tuesday E3 stream where, if you listen very, very carefully, you can hear the clackity clack of thousands of screencaps going off all at once.

It’s there, you see, that Rome 2’s humongous campaign map crossed public eyes for the first time. Would you like to see it?

Rome 2’s colossal map takes us from Scotland all the way down to North Africa, and everywhere inbetween. It’s filled by Provinces, just as its predecessors were – you can see their borders clearly demarcated above. What you can’t see is the new bit – the smaller Regions that make up Provinces, all of which need to be captured individually before you can claim the larger territory.

The consequence of this? A smaller proportion of siege battles, for one thing.

“Back in the days of Shogun 2, every region on the map had a castle in it or a settlement of some kind, so every region conquering ended up being a siege battle,” explained the Creative Assembly’s Al Bickham in a studio update. “And we wanted to bring more tactical variety, more battle types into Rome 2 and not just rely on siege battles, like a series of headshots.”

Once you’ve taken a province, you’ll enjoy a choice of area-specific buffs. For example, a low population province can benefit from a boost to happiness if you issue a decree to increase the number of festivals.

“It’s about local management benefitting your greater empire, just like any Total War game to some extent,” said Bickham. “You’ve got to manage each region individually and deal with its specific problems. You’ve just got more ways in your armoury to deal with that then you ever have before.”

Which all sounds great. But, flipping heck: it’s really, really large, isn’t it?

Thanks, Gontak.
